How to fund a farm land project

Farming is fundable when the work is recorded. Below is the exact path your money follows on FarmInvest — who holds it, what it buys, and how profit comes back to you. With entry from US$1,000, there is a project to suit most budgets.

The step-by-step flow

  1. 1

Create an investor account and complete KYC

Sign up as an investor and upload your ID and proof of address. An admin reviews the documents and approves your profile before any funds move. KYC is once-off.

  2. 2

    Choose a land project

Each opportunity states the crop, hectares, cycle length, expected return and how many units are open — watermelon, chilli, tomato, greenhouse or the tractor scheme.

  3. 3

Register your interest and sign paperwork

You register interest in the app. FarmInvest prepares the agreement through a conveyancer, and you receive the paperwork and trust-account details by email.

  4. 4

Fund into the conveyancing trust account

Payment goes to the attorney's trust account named in your agreement — never to an individual. Your milestone timeline in the portal updates as funds are confirmed.

  5. 5

Land is prepared and the crop is planted

Tillage, inputs and planting are recorded against the project. Photo updates from the field appear in your portal so you can see the work, not just the numbers.

  6. 6

    Harvest, sale and reporting

Yields, farm-gate prices and operating costs are recorded per cycle. Your statement shows funds in, costs deducted and the profit attributable to your units.

  7. 7

    Payouts and reinvestment

Profit is paid per cycle, or you can schedule withdrawals once your investment reaches maturity. You may also roll profit into the next cycle to compound.

What you can fund

Open-field crop cycles
Watermelon, chilli and tomato blocks funded per hectare, with short cycles and staggered planting.
Greenhouse units
Structures funded per unit and rented to vetted growers, giving steadier year-round income.
Tractor & implement scheme
Units funded toward mechanisation, earning from tillage operations across partner farms.
How your money is protected
Three rules that do not change.
Trust account only

Funds are paid to the conveyancer's trust account stated in your signed agreement.

KYC both ways

Investors are verified, and the farms and land listings you fund are checked by FarmInvest.

Recorded costs

Inputs, labour and operating costs are logged per cycle, so payouts follow real numbers.

Nothing on this page is an offer or a guarantee of return. Agricultural returns depend on rainfall, inputs, management and market prices at the time of sale. Terms for each project are set out in the agreement you sign.
